We’ve just attended a large official military funeral at Kuwaiti’s Al-Sulaibikhat Cemetery for two officers from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, whom the ministry had previously mourned in a statement. Large crowds of citizens have gathered to take part in the funeral.
The statement said the two officers were members of the land border security force and were killed while carrying out their duties and responsibilities related to the aftermath of the Iranian attacks.
The Ministry of Interior described their deaths as part of the consequences of the “Iranian aggression on Kuwait”.
The two men being buried today join two other members of the Kuwaiti armed forces whose deaths were announced by the Ministry of Defence several days ago.
This brings the total number of military personnel killed to four. There have also been two civilian deaths, according to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health. One of the victims was 11 years old.
